David Shiner creates Cirque du Soleil's new show, 'Kooza'
"Stop!" The heads of 17 American Conservatory Theater students turn almost in unison as David Shiner walks quickly to the front of the rehearsal studio. More than halfway through the one-time, two-hour class, the second-year master's program students are accustomed to the great clown's staccato interruptions, as one pair after another attempts the samurai-warrior improvisation exercise he has assigned. "Why is that not working?" he'll ask, to illustrate one principle of physical comedy or another. "You're not breathing," he says to two students who, almost imperceptibly, have been holding their breath in a comic angry-warrior face-off. "If you're utterly relaxed and breathing, the audience is breathing too." Another student is told that this is a good moment to simply pause - "There's tremendous power in stillness and silence" - or do a double take ("Let the audience know that you know what they're seeing").

Will Erap pardon Bong?
Its unavoidable that former President Joseph Erap Estrada will meet Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. in the grand debut party of Janela, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada and Precy Ejercitos eldest daughter, who is turning 18 on Nov. 23. She is set to celebrate her coming out party on Nov. 30 at Hotel Sofitel. Pres. Erap will be her first dance and Sen. Bong will be the second. As to be expected, Sen. Jinggoy will be the last dance. Pres. Erap with then San Juan Mayor Jinggoy and Sen. Bong had a falling out when the latter openly expressed support to then Vice President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo in the overthrow of his presidency in the so-called Edsa Dos. Since his release from detention, Sen. Jinggoy had patched things up with his friends Sen. Bong, Rudy Fernandez and Philip Salvador. Since Pres. Eraps release, he has not met or talked with Sen.
